New Place For A Reunion?

Emigrant Lake at Ashland Oregon was a blast for those that went. Everyone got home safe ane sound, or at least I haven't heard anything to the contrary!!! Do hope everyone else that didn't attend had a prosperous and eventful week...as well!!!
I haven't got all the receipts in yet...so need from Terry and enny, Lynn and Lisa, Rona ane her craft crew, Kim and all her camp arrangements...any cooks that haven't been reimbursed yet"??? Dave and Robin boat gas expenses??
Lynns boat pooped out at the first day, we are sorry about that..hope it's not too expensive to fix. Dave's boat had an impeller problem, but the 2nd day he was able to fix it! So April, Seth had their boat up and running and kids had fun in the tube...Dave and Robin did knee boarding. The weather was cool, but the last day, friday both boats were out for about 4 hours each.
Kids enjoyed the water slide and those that went to the Shakespeer Plays really enjoyed them!
Now the Klamath River float trip for those that went said it wasen't too cold...others decided not to go because of the cool weather...all had fun in whatever they did.
HERE IS THE PLAN FOR THE NEXT REUNION: EACH PERSON IS TO SUBMIT A PLACE OR MORE THEY WOULD LIKE IT TO BE HELD. ALONG WITH THE PLACE DO SOME RESEARCH ON THEM. LIST ALL THE IMENITIES LIKE RIVER, LAKE, HOW FAR FROM STORES, DIRT BIKE RIDING, BOATING, RIVER RAFTING, WEATHER, AND ETC. TAV AND BRENDA ARE THE COORDINATORS FOR THE NEXT REUNION..SO SUBMIT TO THEM.
ALSO DO YOU WANT T SHIRTS AGAIN???
ALSO DO YOU WANT IT IN 2 OR 3 YEARS!!!!!
Can;t forget the crafts that Rona and her team had for all the kiddies, and even the older kids enjoyed!!! face painting, bracelet and necklace making with all sorts of beads. I saw some creativity going on....!!!!!
Any questions????? xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxoooooooooooooooo Deanne

Letter From Sister Janna Judkins

This week has gone by so fast. It's crazy I'm so exited I only have 5 real days left till I can leave FOR TEXAS!!! EAHAHAHAHHA!! SO excited. I have made many friend and people that are wonderful examples to me.
This week Sister Peterson and I have made some GOALS!!!
1. Read the Book of Mormon in a Week! When we leave it will be the end of the week. I am in 2nd Nephi and Praying like a mad man to try and finish before we leave!!! :D I would encourage you to read to book of Mormon this next month too. I cannot tell yo what blessings will come from reading this Testament of Jesus Christ, HOW AMAZING the gospel is. Ever since we started it seams like the gospel makes more since to me! It just links together. I love it.
2. I was in the RC (Referral Center) This is where you call people that have ordered something from the church off our commercials. SO you could be calling for an hour and only have 3 people even pick up their phone. :) Ha ha....gets frustrating sometimes. but I know that those 3 people wouldn't have answered unless they were supposed to. anyways,. A women named Roberta answered her phone and I was confirming her deliver of the Bible. She said she got it and she is grateful, I said do you have any questions and would you like to have then answered, we have some representatives in her area that would be happy to come over with a copy of the Book of Mormon. She said, no, right now life is really crazy, I'm taking care of my sick parents (86 yrs about) and it's really hard for her to focus on anything else really right now. She said I could possibly have time for that. I told her I knew how she was feeling, my BF G-ma is 93 and dying, and it's been really hard, sometimes you feel alone, like no one is there to help you. But I told her that if she would the message would truly help her and her family and I shared a scripture about Jesus suffering for our sins and our sorrows. I explained that Jesus Knows her and her family and their struggles and will never leave her comfortless. I said the missionaries could tell you more. she again said....I don't' know, I'm so busy....I said Roberta, I promise you, that if you take time to hear the missionaries and their message that you will the the hand of God in your life and your families, that he will lift your burdens and you will be blessed...She was silent....my heart was so calm, I felt peace...."OK" she said. She continued to say that maybe this has been an answer to prayers, and it would be nice to have the missionaries come to her house instead of trying to go to bible study when life is so hectic. I was thrilled. My heart jumped I started sharing scriptures and bearing testimony of Jesus Christ and The Missionary work we are here doing. She said she was so grate full for me calling and Said I was her angel today. I told her I am blessed to have talked to her, I told her that I know she has strong faith and that everything will be OK, that God will bless her and loves her, that she is amazing and I was grateful for her. She asked if she could get my number to call me back and my first and last name if she needed to talk to me. :D I can't even explain how thrilled and excited I was... I places a book of Mormon and had the missionaries come over!!! OWOOOWOWOWO!!! right!!!
3. Memorize the Articles of Faith again. we have 1-4 done and a few others, we have been focusing more of reading :)_ ha ha! BOOK of Mormon in a week at the MTC IS practically impossible!!! everyone says "ya right"....which pushes me even further. just 100 pages a day... or 110.... :) I can do it.
life is good. HARD!!! I got to talk to MOM yesterday!!!! What an amazing few minutes!!! I love love loved it!! lifted my spirits to hear the the spirit is strong at home and that all is doing well!!! Wonderful!!
I love the Lord, my savior, the Prophet. I Know My heavenly Father loves and knows me, that the gospel is true and that the Word of God is on the earth. I feel the spirit so strong, but just as strong I feel the pull of the advisory every day, trying to bring me down and feel like I don't belong... He's WRONG!!!! I Belong here, I can't wait to see John and Joe and JED!!! Out here working in the Field. Their testimonies will travel from her to all around the world. You have such strong testimonies and I am blessed to have such amazing younger brothers.
Joe Good job with your Eagle.... :D wonderful... keep going. your amazing and loved by so many.'
John I haven't gotten a letter yet... :() not nice bro. '
Julie you are so sweet to me, I miss you everyday and I loved that we had so much "girl" time before I left because when I went back I need some more!!! :)
Jed your excitement about school and gospel learning is contagious, keep smiling and keep working hard to be GOOD!! I can't wait to seeeeeeeeee you on your mission after me, john and Joe!! :) CRAZY it's been almost 3 weeks!!!
Dad, Thank you for your letter I can't tel you how much that meant to me that you and mom took time to write me.
I have a knew PINK WATCH!!! LOVE ITTTT!!!! thanks BF....thanks for all your letters.... can't tell you how lucky I am. :) I love the gospel/
and guess what family! I AM READY!!!! I am ready to serve and ready to fight for God;s kingdom. I want to find those people, my family out there. you don't know what's gonna come to Texas...but in a few short days you will realize....the Texas Tornado is a-comm'n
OH YEAH YA'LL!!!!
Love you all from here to heaven!!!!

Ronald Alexander (1918-2010) Obit (Carol's husband)

Ronald L. (Ronny) Alexander

Born in Litchfield, Medina County, Ohio, son of Benjamin Bosworth Alexander and Amie Edith (Lewallen) Alexander. They were both from Morgan County, Tenn. and moved to Medina County in 1917.

Ronny went to local public schools, both in Litchfield and Berea in Cuyahoga County, graduating from Berea H. S. in 1936. In 1934 he earned his Eagle Scout Award, in beekeeping. He had a great interest in music and played the slide trombone from the 5th grade until the end of H.S. When his family moved to Berea, near Cleveland, one of his first jobs there was helping his father build houses and other carpentry work. Another job was selling furniture for a store. He then worked as a timekeeper for Rayon, which made clocks for workers.

He later had a position with Iron Fireman, which made coal stokers, and became a manager with seven servicemen and 7,000 stokers working under him in Cleveland, Ohio. During part of this time period he also attended night school at a local college. Right after Pearl Harbor in 1941 he began working for NACA, a forerunner of NASA, so had a deferment from military service. He continued in NACA until early 1951.

He married Janice Yochem in Feb. 1951. They opened their own dry cleaning business also picking up and delivering the clothing. They eventually closed it in the late winter of 1951 because of continuing deep snow causing delivery problems, and an auto accident. They moved down to Houston, Texas, where Ronny was a service manager for Rheem Manufacturing and Air Conditioning Co. traveling around several western states. Tired of being away from home so much, he joined with Russ Builders and Associates, eventually buying the company. He was a well-known building contractor, for the next 40 years, in the Houston to Galveston areas of Texas. Since he knew all the Astronauts then, he was able to build homes for some of them, and even kept in touch with them for many years.

When his wife, Janice, had a stroke and needed constant care the next 11 years, he undertook that demanding task and was home with her most of the time. He took classes as a real estate broker with Elder-Kelley Century 21, and had a very successful career until Janice passed away. Then he sold everything and moved up to Destin, Fla., to live with his son, Ronald H. Alexander and his wife, Renee.

His only living son, known as Ron, was born Feb. 1953. He had a successful military career flying helicopters and airplanes. After retirement, he was employed for several years at Eglin Air Force Base, nortkof Destin. In October 2007, he went into service for the Government to manage the helicopter program in Iraq, coming back to Wash. D.C. periodically. His wife, Renee, soon moved up to Alexandria, VA, where they have an apartment. She also works for the Government at this time.

Ronny has a sister, Violet Stoffan, 4 yrs. younger, who resides in the Cleveland area. His other descendants are children of Ron and first wife: Andy Alexander and Amy Alexander, both living in Fort Walton Beach.

On Feb. 14, 2003, in Ft. Walton Beach, Ronny married Carol (Richardson) McKinney, a widow from Utah. They had 7 happy years together until his recent passing at the Gulf Coast Medical Center of causes incident to age. They had moved over to Panama City Beach in May 2003.

They are both members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, and funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at 2 p.m. for family and friends at the church, 505 South Arnold, in Panama City Beach. Brock's Funeral Home in Panama City is handling preliminary arrangements. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to Boy Scouts of America, 9440 University Parkway, Pensacola, FL 32514, in the name of Ronald L. Alexander. Donations may also be made locally to Boy Scouts of America, Panama City Stake, and mail to President Jacob Fish, 505 South Arnold, Panama City Beach, FL 32413.

Carey Bates 1954-2010

Many of you have heard that my stepfather (since I was 4) was killed in a car accident Monday February 15, 2010 at about 5:30pm. Dad had come to visit us for the weekend in Cheney. He had just left our house about 5:00pm. Multiple news stations that covered the accident on the radio, TV and internet. (read here) The shock and tragedy of his passing has been acute in every possible way. We love him and miss him so much.

Sledding in Belle Haven

This is what you do when you are snowed in on a Saturday night. Anyway, it isn't quite like boogey-boardin but similar. I like the 25 mph at the end.

Tyler's Next Play - Pajama Game

My next show is called "The pajama Game" and I play PREZ, a womanizer that runs the union and is very serious about what he says and does. I have 3 solo songs and a few chorus songs. I am on stage over 50 percent of the play. More like 75% of the time and I have some really fun monologues. Plus, if you come, you can wear Pajama's :)
The show open on March 5th and runs for 3 weeks in Rocklin off of Rocklin Road across the street from the New DMV. The building is called TEMPERANCE HALL.
I would really appreciate a family attendance as I really am looking forward to this show and character! Plus I am talking to the Director about discounted group parties.
Lots of love and appreciation for those that can come and support my craft and desire :)
A flier is attached as well.
