A New Blog for Sada

Instead of sending emails to everyone individually, you can get Sada’s updates at www.sadanicole.blogspot.com. Today has been a quiet Christmas Eve – just what the doctor ordered. Give your family an extra few hugs tonight while you thank heaven for the greatest gift of all – Merry Christmas!

Angels aren't necessarily up on high around here...

We've had a wee bit of a kink in our schedule this week. Jeff & I are sitting in Primary Children's waiting room while our oldest is having a brain tumor removed... yeah. Really. As of 11 last night life was normal. Sada woke up at 11:30 and couldn't see anything with her left eye, so we gave her a blessing and headed up to Salt Lake and are now in the middle of a 7 hour operation that Jeff would rather never have been part of his expertise. The tumor is the size of a golf ball, located between the brain stem and cerebellum at the base of the skull. The surgery team does this at least once a month here with the anesthesiologist and lead surgeon doing these exact surgeries for 15+ years each.
Looks like we're going to renegotiate Christmas this year.
It's all perception - our 3rd daughter, Megan, died very unexpectedly when she was almost 4 months old. Next week would be her 6th birthday. Compared to that experience, this is miserable, but very, very survivable. At the very least, Sada's still here to hug.
Keep us in your prayers. Miraculous experiences always follow, and we'll take as many as we can get.

P.S. I was just reading this off before sending, and a group of Young Women looking girls dropped off a 6"round foot tall container of coins and cash and walked out of the waiting room smiling "Merry Christmas." Told you prayers work. I hope tears don't fry my Dad's laptop.

It's Official!

Tiani Thompson is officially engaged to Brandon Taylor. He is the son of my Stake President. Brandon served his mission in Brazil, pays cash for everything, finishishing his 3rd year of college and then they will head off to J Ruben Clark Law School at BYU Provo in the fall.

They are working on a date, but maybe the 1st week in March, because it's just after his final exams, spring break and they can have a few days for slight honeymoon. Anyway, we will keep you all informed.

Ken Ellsworth was there at Alma and Joy's Open House this evening...I am sad that his wife Mary Jane is not doing too well with her cancer. She is back doing chemo again. He spends most of his time taking care of her.

Arion Connor Botonis is Here!!!

Arion Connor Botonis was born this morning at 6:04a. He was 8 lbs 5 oz and 19 inches long. Cami went to the hospital at 1:00a this morning and got an epidural to smooth out the rest of the morning. She is doing great. Arion looks like Tim to all of us. He has big hands and feet.

It sure looks like he took a beating too. Poor kid. The birthing process isn't all bubbles and feathers. He is a sweet boy.

Cami's Baby Shower

Just a little shout out for Cami's Baby Shower. They have chosen Arion Conner as the name for their little whipper snapper. We'll see if it stays that way once they have him.

Invitations are in the mail so look out for them.
Here is Cami as of the 3rd. She doesn't like me taking her picture right now. Whatever. She gave me a fake "I'm going to kill you" smile. It's so much fun getting these shots.

Just a little Note and some pictures!

I just wanted to say that I really had a wonderful time with the Meinzer family clan and the pics I took (that you all have hopefully) that show this.

I have enclosed a few of some of my favorite pictures I took and hopefully some are good enough for the wall or computer backgrounds for some of you. ;)

I never intended to be the photographer on the trip, but slowely I was motivated to record the memory for everyone to have and share. Enjoy and feel free to take any pictures you want. I accept paypal, money orders, checks, or cash. You can mail it to me as soon as possible. Pictures are $1.00 each or 20 for $15.00 or you can get them all for $2574.30. ;)

Here are some of the pictures with a vidio at the end of the riding trip that followed the family vacation. It was fun seeing everyone and the new additions as well!

Sorry we missed you

Sorry we missed everyone. Since Kip is in the Heating and Air business it's hard to get away in the busy summer months plus we had summer school. We heard everyone had a great time. We are all doing well and keeping busy.

Alysha, Megan & I are in summer school. Alysha is at Algebra Academy to brush up on her Algebra skills before taking Geometry next year in high school. Megan is in 2nd grade summer school to brush up on her reading skills and I am taking algebra at AR to get ready for the science classes I will need for the reistered nursing program. By taking a class each semester, I will be ready for nursing courses before Zane begins school. I am so excited.

Andrew is doing well with his diabetes and has been granted a wish by the Make-a-wish foundation. He is trying hard to decide what to do. We meet with them after he gets home from scout camp, on July 14th, to make a decision. Andrew would like to get his Eagle when he is 14 and so has been working hard and is excited about scout camp and all the merit badges he can earn.

Megan has been taking Irish dance lessons and is enjoying it, though it is a bit difficult.

We are ejoying the summer and hope everyone else is too. Thanks for setting up this blog. What a great idea.

Reunion Funnies

People in the family kept on making funnies. They are so funny sometimes. So, I wrote down what I heard. Add more if you can remember other ones that I have missed.

1. Terry Meinzer's toilet paper demonstration. I'll add pictures later demonstrating that.

2. Tav's Great & Spacious building. Or as he calls it: the Taj Mahal.

3. Ryan Meinzer - Calling himself Chef Salmonella as he was cooking breakfast.

4. "Excuse Morning" - Russell's Aubrey. I was walking behind her when she turned around and almost bumped into me. She was trying to say excuse me and good morning at the same time.

5. Ryan Meinzer - "Anybody got a toothbrush I can borrow? Any takers?"
Kim - "You can use a branch?"
Ryan - "I was going to use a rock."

6. Terry Meinzer - "Ok, now it's the real Meinzer family!" When we were taking individual family photos.

7. Terry Madsen - "If you have leftovers can I use it for my newtons?" Tierra was pumping milk for the baby.

8. Greg - "B of Gay (Bank of America)" When talking about mortgages.

9. Kim - Calling Neopolitan Ice Cream Napolean ice cream.

10. It's not a Meinzer gathering until something explodes. The incident? Tyler throwing a container with oil on the fire and waking up the camp.
